Important information about the coronavirus (COVID-19)

At Novita Health, the safety and wellbeing of our clients, their families and carers, and our staff are our primary focus.

We understand that many people in the community are concerned about the coronavirus, or COVID-19 as it has been named by the World Health Organisation.

We are closely monitoring the changing situation to ensure the Novita Health community is protected when you’re accessing our services.

If you would like to find out more about COVID-19, and the measures you can take to help prevent the spread of the virus, visit the Australian Government Department of Health website.

It is very important that if you are planning to access any of our services, and you or family members or carers are not feeling well, you must contact us BEFORE you visit us.

For more information on how to contact Novita Health visit our website.

If you are showing symptoms of COVID-19, you should immediately get a medical assessment – and don’t forget to call your doctor or medical centre before you visit to tell them that you’re coming in.

If COVID-19 presents at our Kingswood Centre, we will take immediate action to protect the wellbeing of our clients and staff, which may include temporary site closure.

The best way to protect yourself against the coronavirus is to regularly wash your hands with soap and water, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser. You should also cover your coughs and sneezes with your elbow or a tissue, and if you use a tissue, dispose of it immediately. Regularly cleaning surfaces can also help to prevent the spread of the virus.

It is also important that you maintain a distance of at least 1.5 metres between yourself and other people.

If you have any questions about your Novita Health services, you can contact us on (08) 8172 9280 or via email info@novitahealth.org.au
