Our team of physiotherapists is devoted to working with clients enduring aches, chronic pains, and reduced mobility, along with those preparing for and recovering from important but invasive surgery like hip and knee replacements.
As you’ll see in these pages, Novita Health practitioners can support you across a range of conditions, thanks to our state-of-the-art equipment, professional development, and access to our hydrotherapy pool.
When you’re not moving as well as you used to, due to chronic conditions, injury, surgery, or disability, Novita Health is a practice that will be able to understand what you’re experiencing and apply science-based approaches to rehabilitation, recovery, and on-going management.
Knee Replacement
At Novita Health, we are here to work with you before and after your knee surgery.
Pre-surgery, we can work with you to raise your fitness levels using hydro sessions in our pool. This is a prudent move for making sure you are well prepared for recuperation after surgery.
Furthermore, our physiotherapists can provide in room treatment for you to also help you prepare for surgery.
After surgery, the Novita Health team will be available to continue in room sessions with your physiotherapist as well as continuing one-on-one hydro sessions. These sessions allow you to regain movement and strength without your body needing to bear your weight.
A Novita Health therapist can also write up your own, pool-based rehabilitation program, create an individual hydro program for you, or guide you towards an appropriate hydrotherapy class.
Hip Replacement
Undergoing hip replacement surgery is a big decision because of the central roles our hips play in our musculoskeletal system.

Pool-based mobility, strength, fitness and exercise
For clients with severe disability, undertaking exercise in water is a safe and gentle way to maintain physical strength and movement while working within the physical restrictions of the body.
At Novita Health, we have experience in providing non land-based exercise with our hydrotherapy pool.
In water, clients can experience mobility in a way that is not possible on land. In the process, such movement allows strengthening of limbs and core muscles while also making it possible to achieve greater flexibility than can be achieved in a gym.
Through this process, Novita Health’s pool can give our clients the support they need to be able to experience an improved range of movement in the water, as well as a chance for some important relaxation.
Chronic pain
One of the most satisfying activities for therapists at Novita Health, is having an opportunity to help clients manage chronic pain.
Chronic pain can manifest itself in the neck, neck and upper shoulder, back, and throughout the pelvic area and hips.
Our physiotherapists will draw upon in room work and the use of Novita Health’s hydrotherapy pool to explore ways to help clients better understand and manage their chronic conditions.
Work Injury
Injuries sustained at work can leave people feeling isolated while also dealing with grief and frustration over not being able to continue their workplace activities.
At Novita Health, we can work with you and the insurance companies involved to assess your condition, and then provide treatment.
Our therapists can also recommend equipment and aids that will benefit you in your rehabilitation.
Dizziness and Vertigo
When you come to Novita Health with symptoms of dizziness and vertigo, our trained physiotherapists will start your treatment by conducting a series of tests.
These tests will help our physios correctly diagnose your specific vertigo, and they’ll then be able to plan a specific set of exercises just for you.
These exercises will help remove the dislodged crystals so your vestibular system can revert to performing normally again.
